If you require prescription lenses we must verify your RX with your eye care professional. This process is done via fax to your eye doctor. Once yuo place your prescription lens order, the system will fax your request direct to your eye doctor for approval. We give your eye doctor 12 business hours to respond to our request. If we do not hear back from your doctor in that time frame,the law considers the request verified and we ship your lenses.
So when ordering prescription lenses please calculate this verification time into your shipping speed. So if you need RX lenses next day, most likely it will not be possible unless your eye care professional contacts us asap.
Our telephone sales reps can also verify your rx instantly with your eye care professional over the phone! You will need to know all of your doctors contact information and the rep can call while you are on the phone. This works best if you discuss this with your eye care professional before we call. Please note that these types of calls are recorded by us so we have a record on file of your doctors approval.
