From the murky darkness of a studio apartment in Historic Salem Massachusetts, a young entrepreneur lays the groundwork for what would become the world's largest source for custom fit vampire fangs. The year: 1993. Scott Smiledge peddled fangs to small stores, door-to-door. He would set up a booth in Salem during Halloween to offer passersby a chance to have their own custom fit fangs. Customers clamored to become instantly transformed. "What else have you got?" was a common reaction. In the shadows of his mind, Smiledge knew he was on to something. He also knew that the Gothic/Alternative/Vampire customer base was worldwide, and to reach it he need a worldwide approach. The internet. And thus, Vampfangs.com was born.

 

In the 15 years since its inception, Vampfangs.com has taken a huge bite out the e-commerce world. The new 5,000 square foot warehouse/office, not far from Salem, ships out hundreds of packages everyday. The store contains over 1,000 different items. And, with its state-of-the-art television studio, Vampfangs is able to produce high quality video and images that keep the site fresh.

 

Vampfangs.com has found incredible success by remaining innovative and always appealing to a wider range of customers. So, does this mean it's time to sit back, relax, and marvel at his accomplishments? "Hell no!" says Smiledge. "At 15 years old, Vampfangs is just getting started!"
