if you have black to near black or if your hair looks black from apperence, i would advise that you bleach your hair to at least yellowish blond, sun yellow blond, or bananna skin blond or the bananna meat blond. With that, it turns out real GOOD and VAMPIRE RED!!!... it says to leave it on for 15 to 20 mins but i suggest leave it in for 1 hour to over night or if you do it in the morning, leave it till night. but this one is very good.

OMG. I only bleached certain parts of my hair to a light blonde purposely to get uneven coverage in light and darks to make it look more real. it look AMAZING. even my dark, dark, dark, dark brown hair got a a blood red highlight. the coolest part is that I've had it for about 3 weeks now and it looks just the same as the day i dyes it!

This red really stands out. I started with a light blonde, then used Vampire Red, and it was definately worth it!
